Greg Buckley Dedication & 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

AUGUST 10th

All rosters and pools are listed below. Pool play includes 4 games. Team with the best record in each pool moves on to semi-finals. Winner of Pool # 1 plays Winner of Pool # 4. Winner of Pool # 2 Plays Winner of Pool # 3.

Ties within a pool are to be broken through head to head matchup.
If 3 teams are tied for first place within a pool, tie will be broken by total record against other two teams in the tie. If not broken after this, free throw competition will ensue. Top two teams in free throw competition will play a game to 5 (all baskets count as 1 point in tie-breaker)

Welcome to our page dedicated to honoring the life of Greg Buckley. Greg was a 2009 Oceanside High School graduate, who proudly served our nation as a member of the United States Marine Corps during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

Greg's family and friends will meet on August 10th to celebrate Greg's lfe. The schedule of events is as follows:

9:00         Memorial Mass at St. Anthony's

10:45       Dedication and Renaming of street in Greg's Name

12:00       3 v 3 Tournament at Oceanside Park

3 on 3 TOURNAMENT

Tournament Guidelines

Each team will have between 3-5 players.
All players must be 18 or older
Each team must have at least two players who attended Oceanside High School or serve(d) in the USMC.
Separate divisions will be set up for Men and Women.
Games will be played to 21, with 2 pointers and 3 pointers. All games must be won by two points.
Time limit on each game is 20 minutes.
Teams will shoot one free throw for each foul over 7. Foul shooting team will keep the ball.
